  • Team USA includes Elite and Age Group Athletes
  • To qualify for Team USA, an athlete must:
    • Be a U.S. citizen 
    • Be a U.S. national – someone who has resided in the US for three consecutive years and has not competed for their country of citizenship in the prior year. Team USA eligible athletes must not have competed for their country of citizenship in the prior year. Athletes who choose to be recognized as nationals who have competed for their country of citizenship in the last year may get dispensation by obtaining a letter from the National Federation of their home country allowing competition as a USA athlete.
  • Championship Races are open to bid from all qualified venues and brands, including cities, states and event organizers.
  • 2017 registration fees go to the event host to cover venue costs, staff and event expenses.
  • USA OCR membership fees offset costs of administration, officials, awards, giveaways, rule enforcement, anti-doping and other functions of the federation.



Recognized and sanctioned USA Obstacle Course Racing Championships are qualifiers for to represent the United States and compete at international championships and multi-sport Games. The top five (5) elite and top five (5) in each age group athletes in men and women can represent the United States through the next US Nationals in 2018. Age groups are U20, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and 60+.


We are seeking venues, event producers and brands to host championship races in 2018. Please review the USAOCR National Championship Bids page for information on hosting the US National Championship.


Please contact us if you are an event owner and wish to apply for your competition(s) to be qualifiers for championship events.


  • All competitors in official USAOCR Championships must be a member of USAOCR
  • Membership sign up and $15 fee is applied as the final registration step
  • Uniform Rules will not be enforced for 2017 championships, but are encouraged for elite competitors
  • Top 5 women and top 5 men in elite and age group categories may qualify for Team USA
